“Tristan und Isolde” from the Semperoper released on DVD and Blu-ray

“Klaus Florian Vogt makes his role debut as Tristan, singing alongside Camilla Nylund at the head of an ensemble that is currently unmatched in quality at any other opera house,” wrote Opernmagazin after the revival of Wagner's Tristan und Isolde at the Semperoper on January 21, 2024. A recording of this musical event, with Christian Thielemann conducting the Sächsische Staatskapelle, has now been released on DVD and Blu-ray by the C Major label.  

Zurich's “Ring” in concert in New York

Zurich Opera is bringing its “Ring” to New York: in the concert performance at Carnegie Hall, Klaus Florian Vogt will once again sing in all four operas and can be heard as Loge (“Das Rheingold”), Siegmund (“Die Walküre”) and Siegfried (‘Siegfried’ and “Götterdämmerung”). Gianandrea Noseda will conduct, and Camilla Nylund (Brünnhilde) will also be part of the acclaimed Zurich production.

Teatro alla Scala streams "Götterdämmerung"

The fourth part of Milan's new ‘Der Ring des Nibelungen’ can also be experienced online. Teatro alla Scala will stream the performance of "Götterdämmerung" on 17 February 2026 from 5.45 p.m. on its own website. In David McVicar's production, Klaus Florian Vogt sings Siegfried, Camilla Nylund can be heard as Brünnhilde and Günther Groisböck as Hagen. Simone Young is the musical director. 

 

Metropolis Cinema in Hamburg shows new film portrait of Klaus Florian Vogt

How does it feel to devote your life to one thing? How does someone who performs the most difficult opera repertoire live? Astrid Bscher's new film accompanies Klaus Florian Vogt through European opera houses. The Metropolis Cinema in Hamburg will show the film on 9 March 2026 at 7 p.m. Guests at the subsequent panel discussion will be Klaus Florian Vogt and director Astrid Bscher, moderated by Volker Wacker. "Götterdämmerung" in Sydney

On November 19 and 22, 2026, Klaus Florian Vogt will be appearing in Australia for the first time. In the concert performance of “Götterdämmerung” at the Sydney Opera House, he will sing Siegfried twice. Simone Young, principal conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, has the musical direction. Other artists include Anja Kampe (Brünnhilde), Falk Struckmann (Hagen), and Deborah Humble (Waltraute).

Bayreuth 2026: Klaus Florian Vogt appears four times in “Der Ring des Nibelungen”

At next year's Bayreuth Festival, Klaus Florian Vogt will sing in all four parts of the new production of “The Ring of the Nibelung.” He will make his debut at the famous opera house as Loge in “Rheingold,” take on the role of Siegmund in “Die Walküre,” and sing Siegfried in ‘Siegfried’ and “Götterdämmerung.” Christian Thielemann has the musical direction, and the images on stage will be generated by AI. Tickets for the performances will be available as packages from 25 July 2025, at the Bayreuth Festival ticket shop.

 

Zurich Opera's "Ring des Nibelungen" released on Blu-ray and DVD

On 6 June, accentus music will release Richard Wagner's complete "Ring" cycle with the Zurich Philharmonic Orchestra under Gianandrea Noseda on Blu-ray and DVD. Noseda leads through Wagner's complex scores with fine sensitivity and dynamics, Andreas Homoki complements with a multi-layered and contemporary reading of the "Ring", which maintains the dramaturgical intensity with an excellent cast of soloists: Tomasz Konieczny as Wotan, Camilla Nylund as Brünnhilde, Christopher Purves as Alberich, Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke as Mime and Klaus Florian Vogt as Siegfried, who celebrated his role debut in Homoki's Zurich production.

 

Klaus Florian Vogt honored as “Best Singer”

At the Oper! Awards 2025, Klaus Florian Vogt has been honored Best Singer. The award ceremony took place on 21 February at the Théâtre Royale de La Monnaie in Brussels. With the award, the jury praised his performance in the Wagner repertoire and in particular his impressive role portrayals of Tristan and Siegfried in the last two parts of the “Ring des Nibelungen”, in which he made his debut at the Zurich Opera and which he also sang in Bayreuth last summer. “He is proof that after eons there is still something new to be discovered in the Wagner universe: Klaus Florian Vogt”, said the jury.

"Die schöne Müllerin" with Klaus Florian Vogt and octet on CD

Franz Schubert's "Die schöne Müllerin" with Klaus Florian Vogt is now available on CD in a version for chamber music ensemble arranged by Andreas N. Tarkmann. It is the first recording ever of the Lieder cycle with octet, a project close to the tenor's heart. He commissioned the arrangement and Ensemble Acht takes on the musical part with wonderful inspiration.

On 10 November 2023, Naxos will release „Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg“ from the Deutsche Oper Berlin on DVD and Blu-ray. The production by Jossi Wieler and Sergio Morabito, which premiered in 2022, is moving the action from medieval Nuremberg to a music academy.
